About the game

A little daily discovery

TrioNine is an independent English word game published by MORROWCAT LABS. It launched on October 1, 2026.

Each board asks you to find three connections among nine words. We built a collection of 38 original combinations with explanations, ranging from familiar categories to word patterns. AI assisted drafting and code; the published combinations and explanations were reviewed during development. They do not reproduce NYT puzzles.

A clear, finite collection

Unlimited practice means you can play as many rounds as you like. It does not mean infinitely many unique authored puzzles. Collections avoid repeats until exhausted and then begin a replay cycle. Daily puzzles repeat after 38 days.

What we care about

Useful explanations, a readable small screen, keyboard access, and honest results. Hints are marked. Daily streaks belong to your own browser. We do not invent leaderboards or player counts.
